Meet Marsha and Ken Braunstein

Meet Marsha and Ken Braunstein

Marsha and Ken Braunstein have been supporters of Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC), and the Hebrew Home, in particular, for over twenty-five years.

Marsha's mother was a resident of the Home. "I am so thankful for the care Mom received," Marsha said. "The memories of Mom and those who took care of her have made me a supporter. Ken and I feel that the Home must receive our thanks through charitable gifts."

Marsha and Ken are members of the Builders of the Future Society. They have named CESLC in their wills as a remainder beneficiary as well as purchased an insurance policy for which we are owner and beneficiary.

A CPA, Ken has served on the Home's Planned Giving Committee and is also active with the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes. Marsha has volunteered at Quince Orchard Library, teaching in the English Conversation Club program. She and Ken are both active with Hospice Caring as well.

One of Ken's favorite activities is regularly bringing their two beautiful Golden Retriever therapy dogs Angel and Polly to cheer and engage the residents of the Hebrew Home.

"Tzedakah doesn't just come from your wallet. It comes from your heart," says Ken Braunstein, a philosophy by which he and Marsha live their lives.
